This year my shoulders prevented me from attending webinars organised by the Fairtrade Foundation UK team.
On a positive note I managed to post every day during Ramadan 2022 and produced a video in English and Urdu.
This month I continued to heal from my procedure (January 2022) to alleviate the pain in my left shoulder and a bacterial eye infection.
I celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr and World Fair Trade Day 2022.

I continued to participate in my 10th Six Items Challenge with Labour Behind The Label.
I participated in the Ikea Lagom Live Get Growing Session.
This months session was titled Get Growing.
I enjoyed learning about get growing at home, composting and the activity slides.

I'm Sabeena, a social entrepreneur, fair trade campaigner and educator.
So here I am for the 10th consecutive year participating in the Six Items Challenge with Labour Behind The Label.
This blog has taken a long time to complete due to a horrible bacterial eye infection I've had since February.
This year the challenge commences 2nd March - 27th April 2022.

This month I had a procedure and had 16 injections to alleviate the pain in my left shoulder.
I attended the January 2022 virtual IKEA LIVE Lagom session, Waste Not Want Not and wrote a my blog for World Cancer Day 2022.
My name is Sabeena, I love fair trade chocolate, travelling and writing blogs and producing films and about the fair trade producers and artisans I visit when I'm well.
I've lived with invisible disabilities for 30 years and chronic pain for last 4.
I've tried to keep the video short because my left shoulder is very painful.
Its been frustrating explaining my invisible medical disabilities and chronic pain to individuals who couldn't care less.
I'd like to change the narrative!
This month I continued to heal from all my surgeries. Another painful month with my shoulders causing me stress and pain.
I published my blog and videos about the World Literacy Foundation Ambassador Program in English and Urdu. This blog took 5 months to write and translate due to my painful shoulders.
I attended the Ethical Consumer Week online conference 2021 and wrote a summary of some of the sessions I attended.
I was chosen to attend the IKEA Lagom Live 9 month sustainability program.
I received my certificate for attending the Muslim Mental Health and Wellbeing Alliance Conference, Muslim Mental Health in an Unequal World.
This is my humble effort to reduce my plastic consumption and waste for Zero Waste Week 2021.
My health has been challenging with a painful left shoulder and social anxiety.
Typing, mobility and anxiety has prevented me from going out.
I hope to support the Zero Waste movement with zest and vigour next year.
For the second time I applied to participate as a World Literacy Foundation Ambassador with the World Literacy Foundation. My application was successful.

This year I applied to World Pulse as a Community Mentor.
My application was successful and I was paired with Minakshi Birajdar from Aurangabad, India.
Minakshi is a social activist empowering women in her city of Aurangabad and its surrounding villages.
This month I continued to heal from all my surgeries. My shoulders were particularly painful and I struggled to type.
I participated in my third Plastic Free July 2021.

My Plastic Free July 2021 Summary.
This year was a painful and difficult Plastic Free July, my shoulders caused me severe pain and typing and posting was very difficult.
I've tried my very best to continue to live a plastic free lifestyle and am making gradual changes.
As a fairtrade campaigner I believe it is my duty to support fairtrade organisations using fairtrade ingredients in their products and for this reason I have searched long and hard for products that suit my acne reactive skin.
I am relieved to have found a mask that works for my skin.
I apply the Odylique 3 in 1 Maca Mask to my skin every 4-5 days which is particularly helpful before you feel a cystic bump appear before your menstrual cycle.
To support the call to eliminate child labour, I attended a webinar, 'Stacey Fru dialogue on Child Labour in Africa,' On World Day Against Child Labour.
I also shared a childhood photo with the caption,
“As a kid, I wanted to become __. I’m sharing this photo to support the United Nations Year for the Elimination of Child Labour, because I believe kids should dream now and work later. I challenge @(tag Name 1), @(Name 2), @(Name 3) to do the same. #EndChildLabour2021″
This month I continued to heal from all my surgeries, raised awareness for Fairtrade Ethical Ramadan 2021 and participated in two webinars,
the first webinar was a round table discussion about Social Enterprise in the UAE. the second was about 'Periods in a Pandemic.'
This year The World Fair Trade Organization's campaign was called, 'BUILD BACK FAIRER.'
World Fair Trade Day 2021 was an opportunity to give visibility to the Build Back Fairer statement which has been endorsed by various international civil society networks.
I recorded two videos, one in English and one in Urdu.
This month I continued to heal from all my surgeries, raised awareness for Fairtrade Ethical Ramadan 2021 participated in a Wikipedia training session with Whose Knowledge and World Pulse and
was Sister of Ceremonies for the Encourager Party with World Pulse.
This month I continued to heal from all my surgeries, celebrated Fairtrade Fortnight 21 completed my 9th Six Items Challenge with Labour Behind the Label, and
participated in International Women's Day 2021 with The World Fair Trade Organization.
So here I am for the ninth consecutive year participating in the Six Items Challenge with Labour Behind The Label.
This year the challenge commences 17th February - 31st March 2021.
I have decided to participate and support the Six Items Challenge for the ninth year because I started to campaign for garment and factory workers while caring for my mother who had been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
The six items challenge means I choose six items of clothing to wear for six weeks.
This year I celebrated Fairtrade Fortnight 2021 alone shielding in London, UK.
This year the Fairtrade Foundation's campaign focussed on Climate Change.
Many thanks to all fairtrade farmers, fairtrade organisations, volunteers and The Fairtrade Foundation team for making this virtual online festival an amazing success, and motivating campaigners like myself to learn and do more. :)
