This year I organised World Fair Trade Day at the inspirational Home Grown Children's Eco Nursery, Dubai and the United Arab Emirates with the support of a few friends.
The very delicious fair trade cakes were baked my dear friend Saima. The frosting contained Green & Blacks Maya Gold and 70% Dark Chocolate.
Teachers, parents and children came together to form a human chain and show their support for fair trade producers around the world.
I also raised the profile of fair trade producers by setting up a stall for parents and conducted a fair trade photo shoot with children and parents to show support for fair trade cotton farmers Agrocel (India) and SEKEM (Egypt).
I hope to celebrate World Fair Trade Day 2017 with many other fair trade supporters and friends next year.
Many thanks to Lucy Bruce, Ailsa, teachers and parents at the Home Grown Children's Eco Nusery Dubai, avid fair trade supporters Saima, Fikra, Sofia and all the wonderful little fair trade ambassadors who were the stars of the day.
Happy World Fair Trade Day 2016 from Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
